E is still enjoying school. She has been staying for lunch this week, Packed lunch, not school dinners and was so excited by it last night that she couldn't sleep! She wasn't asleep until 9pm and then she woke at 5.30am. She was exhausted today.
Despite her lack of sleep she still wanted to go to her swimming lesson this evening. She did so well, at the of the lesson her teacher asked another teacher to help E swim across the pool. E is a non swimmer but today she swam! No armbands or anything. I was so proud of my skinny little mermaid! M celebrated by taking her skirt off and swinging it around!
M is growing up so fast, her language skills are amazing. She chats about everything and is even learning about the way things happen on different days of the week. She knows she goes to nursery on fridays, swimming on saturdays, gym on mondays and dance on thursdays - good job she can remember for me!
The new Rowan magazine arrived on saturday. Loads of really gorgeous patterns. I made this bag on saturday evening. I used Anchor magicline and was really pleased with how it turned out.
Guess what the bag is called...Nuffy! Quite apt I thought. I've not lined it yet, I'll probably make another bigger one and line that. This one is perfect for makeup. Do you think it looks like a pasty?
A close up of the stitch detail, I love the way that cotton shows stitch definition so well.

I like your bag, it's looks just right for makeup.
I can't wait to get my copy of Rowan!

Think I might do a bigger version, great way to use up all the "leftover" bits of yarn...make it look really funky.
BTW great blog.
It's great to hear that E is still enjoying school! And I absolutely love your bag, it's so nicely done and I'm sure it'll soon have a lot of things in it! Keep up the good work!
The bag's fantastic. I love the slippers in the post below too.
