Odessa

I made this to go with my new coat, believing the weather men that we were going to get snow and ice. It has been cold, but not too cold and we've had rain and no ice. A blessing for some perhaps?

The pattern is Odessa by Grumperina, made in Rowan Calmer using 4.5mm needles as I seem to knit tight with cotton yarns.

Excuse the dodgy selp portrait, but don't you think I did well taking a photo of the back of my head? Ok, so it is really Emilia :)

Oh, Maddie still has blue hands. And wouldn't hand prints have been a wonderful memory...too late now :(

Oh I say....what a fantastic hat! I could have done with that yesterday, it was freezing here in North Yorkshire!

It looks great, the beads really stand out.

oh it's so lovely...I really fancy a beret and I have just the pattern which uses up bits and bobs. Love the way you used Millie for the back of the head shot. I got the 'purple iris' sock pattern from getknitted...just feeling that beautful wool is a luxury...back to pink fluffy ones now..x

It's 0.4 degrees here according to Barry's weather station and 14.5 degrees in this room, think it's time to put the heater on!

I agree with Rain! The beads really look good, and it looks good on you!! At least it fits you!! Mine was too short and had to give it to DD!

I love the beads and the fit! I always loved the way my hair looked when snow fell on it, melted, and turned into little beads of water. I thought it looked... magical, sort of enchanted. To me, your Odessa has the same sort of charm.

And you did a great job taking a picture of the back of your head!
