A kool weekend

Morning :) (at least it was when I started this post!)

Mum and Barry came down this weekend, It was great to see them :)

It was Barnstaple Fair and Carnival
http://www.barnstaple-history.co.uk/barnstaple_fair.htm so we trundled out of Friday and Saturday evening. Blimey, Fairs are getting expensive. £1.50-£2 a ride per child makes it easy to spend £££! The girls were very good though and didn't complain too much when it was time to go home. The carnival didn't seem as big as last year but it was fun. Old Uncle Tom Cobley an' all were on their 7 seater horse having travelled up from Widecombe-in-the-Moor. (Definitely a fair worth going to one day http://www.widecombe-in-the-moor.com/index.php)

On sunday mum and I spent the morning playing with Koolaid, we had some great fun and the results are fantastic. I'm sure she'll update her blog with some photos soon, She really enjoyed doing it and I'm expecting to see some more exciting things from her soon!

Here are mine...

From left to right, 100% wool with rayon twist dyed with ice blue lemonade and arctic apple, 2 skeins of Patons diploma gold dyed with ice blue lemonade, grape and cherry, Jacob tweed dyed with lemon lime, orange, kiwi strawberry and lemonade and cream Jacob dyed with ice blue lemonade and orange. I made these crocheted baskets from the Jacob wool, I love the colours in the tweedy one.

Dh took E to the Driving Range yesterday afternoon so M and I had a marathon baking session we made baby fairy cakes, shortbread, cheese scones and these gorgeous Spiced apple muffins with streusel topping. Yum!
Enjoy the rest of your day!
