Fugly Knitting!

Okay, ignore the unmade up face, the bags under my eyes (little sleep last night, don't know why), the hideous early 90's decor AND the paper chains left over from Christmas - I have removed them now - and focus on the most FUGLY piece of knitting I've ever made! What on earth does that thing strangling my neck and constricting my arms think it is doing? Not looking good at any rate.

Worthy of the Overalls of Shame perhaps...

Anyway, it is the free criss cross shrug pattern from Lionbrand.com. http://cache.lionbrand.com/patterns/50735.html?noImages

I didn't use Lion yarn because I don't have any. I swatched and my gauge was spot on with the yarn I was using. Not sure what happened. This will be frogged and become something else. One day.

Another photo of the glass panel I made at the weekend. I'm ever so proud of this and can't wait to do some more!

who cares how fugly the shrug is when you can make BEAUTIFUL glass! Wow. I live in an old victorian in much need of stained glass - was it easy to do??

I wouldn't worry about the shrug, every knitter makes their fair amount of fug - you should see some of my early horrors hiding in the back of the cupboard.

You soon find out what suits and what you like making.

I'm still in awe of the stained glass.
