Bits and pieces. Sewing and stuff.

This is Maggie with my girls. Maggie runs the Sing A Rainbow classes that we have been going to since Emilia was 18months old. It will be our last class this week and I'm a bit sad. It's going to be a week of 'lasts'.

The back (or front) of my Klaralund. Silk Garden 211, it's not quite as bright as this!

Cinderella Barbie ended up with a new skirt, halter top and cloak today. Emilia was chuffed to bits!

I've been making this for about a year, it even went to New Zealand with us in February. I've lost the pattern now though, grrr! I'll have another search tomorrow.

This material should be £25 a metre. It was a remnant and was marked down to £13.35. When I got home I realised that I had only been charged £3.35! Bargain! It's going to look great with tights and funky boots...roll on Autumn!

I made these pj's for Emilia today as well, they are so snuggly and girly. Quite old fashioned in their styling too which I like.

I learnt that I need to practice setting in sleeves and puting collars on!

Emilia loves them so much that she even wore them to get some milk, bless her. It won't be long before she won't wear things I make for her.

Well, it's going to be a strange old week. I'm going to try and post as much as I can so that I have a record of our feelings as we make our move south to North Devon. I'm sure we will settle in well, but it is still worrying.

You girls are so beautiful! You must be a very proud mom!
I used to make skirts and dresses for my barbies too when i was a little girl, however, they were always sewed up at hand by me, so it didnt turn out so well hahaha!

When she gets older you can always help her make dresses for formal dances at school. That's what my mommy did for/with me in high school - it was great!
